Product news: The Breezer Adventure series includes three new models for the 2018 season. Each individual model is characterized by special features and properties. We want to take a look at the Adventure series and show which bike is best suited for which application.
The American cult manufacturer Breezer is offering three new adventure models for the 2018 season. The models go by the names Inversion, Radar and Doppler – the intended areas of application are as different as the names. The strengths of the individual models can be read quite well in the Breezer Bikes info sheet. The Inversion is best suited to speed-oriented riders who mainly ride on the road and in light terrain. In this area, among other things, the 32 mm wide WTB Exposure tires can fully demonstrate their strengths. Breezer has the Radar with 650B wheels ready for more terrain and rougher gravel roads. The Doppler also benefits from well-cushioned 650B wheels and also comes with mudguards. In short: a bike for touring and everyday use!
Breeze inversion
The Breezer Inversion is offered in two model versions: Inversion Team and Inversion Pro. The heart of the bike is the fully butted chromoly D'Fusion frame with BB92 bottom bracket and 142x12mm thru axle. The full carbon fork has a 12 mm thru-axle. Differences can be seen in the installed parts. The Inversion Team comes with a Shimano Ultegra 2×11 drivetrain and Shimano Ultegra hydraulic brakes. The WTB Exposure 32 mm tires are mounted on WTB Frequency i23 Disc wheels. The weight of the bike in size L is 9,71 kilograms. The driver of the Inversion Pro model has a Shimano 105 2×11 drivetrain and Tektro hydraulic brakes. Equipped with Alex GD24P wheels and oval attachments, the Inversion Pro weighs in size according to the manufacturer. L 10,16 kilograms.
Breeze Radar
The Radar model series offers three equipment versions. All variants have the CroMo steel frame with BSA bottom bracket and the CroMo fork in common. Fans of the SRAM GX2x10 drive get their money's worth with the Radar Pro. Added to this are the SRAM HRD-700 disc brakes, WTB STP i23 TCS wheels and WTB Riddler Race 700x45c TCS tires. The Radar Expert model features a Shimano Deore 2×9 drivetrain, SRAM Via Centro crankset and Tektro HY/RD brakes. The WTB Riddler Race 700x45c are mounted on Alex GDP24 wheels. The Radar Cafe model also has the same wheels, but here the bike rolls on Kenda Small Block 8 700 x 1.9" tires. Shimano Deore 1×10 with FSA Comet crankset is used for the drive. The Tektro HD-T285 brake decelerates the planer. The weight is 11,96 kilograms (Radar Pro), 12,8 kilograms (Radar Expert) and 12,59 kilograms (Radar Cafe).
Breezer Doppler
The comfortable everyday bike and touring bike Breezer Doppler has a CroMo steel frame with a 44 mm head tube, BSA bottom bracket and 142×12 mm thru axle. CroMo is also used for the fork - and of course there is also a 12 mm thru-axle here. The WTB Horizon 47 mm tires ensure a high level of comfort, while the mudguards with stainless steel struts ensure suitability for everyday use. The Breezer Doppler Pro weighs 13,41 kilograms and comes with a Shimano Tiagra 2×10 drivetrain, Oval Concepts 300 crankset, Tektro HY/RD brakes and Alex DP21 650B wheels. The second equipment version in the form of the Doppler Cafe is completed by a SRAM Apex 1×11 drivetrain, Tektro HD-T285 brakes and WTB STP i23 TCS 650B wheels. The weight is 13,39 kilograms (size 56).
