Product news: Simplon e-bike range 2018: full of power!

20 April 2018 by Florian Nowak

Product presentation: Spring has now arrived in Germany too, so it's high time to go back into nature or to cope with everyday life by bike. And what better way to do that than with a new e-bike. We have put together an overview of Simplon e-bikes for you, with which you can not only be active in sports, but also tackle the way to work, the weekly shop or the next bike trip.

Simplon Individual System – It couldn't be more individual

Who doesn't dream of an individual bike. Everyone has their own wishes, ideas and needs. Thanks to the Simplon Individual System, every e-bike is unique. Using a modular system, you can select your desired frame model on the Simplon homepage and add the attachments according to your own ideas. Especially with e-bikes you have a wide range of options when it comes to displays, accessories, luggage racks, stands, lights or everything else, such as handlebars, saddles, etc. Of course, there are also complete packages.

Simplon Chenoa University

With the Chenoa Uni, Simplon has created a masterpiece when it comes to e-bikes. The first carbon step-through bike with an integrated Bosch motor is not only characterized by its outstanding appearance, but also impresses with maximum comfort and excellent driving characteristics. The noble e-bike with a carbon frame is not only light but also durable and therefore the right choice for all everyday requirements. With an optional luggage rack battery, a range of over 200 kilometers is even possible. The 50 mm tires also ensure excellent comfort and cornering grip.

Simplon Chenoa Uni – Features

  • Integration
All of a piece: the Bosch drive is elegantly integrated into the frame. Protected from stone chipping, the battery is located in the center of the frame and thus ensures excellent and safe handling. Thanks to the integrated design, the foot can be easily guided through the frame when stepping on.
  • chainstay
Thanks to the special design of the chainstays, the rear end remains stiff when accelerating, but at the same time offers excellent riding comfort thanks to vertical flex.
  • carbon frame
The carbon frame, specially developed for e-drives, towers above the entire aluminum competition. It weighs less, allows elegant integration of the drive and provides the perfect mix of torsional rigidity and driving comfort.
  • Tapered head tube
Stiffness is in the details: A conical head tube noticeably increases the stiffness in the steering head and thus improves handling.
  • bottle Cage
Despite the integrated drive, thirsty touring riders will find the optimal position for a bottle holder. The drinking bottle is always ready to hand directly above the battery.

Simplon Chenoa HS

With this carbon e-bike, Simplon has set the bar extremely high. The goal: an ultra-rigid, durable, but very light frame that impresses with outstanding seating and driving comfort as well as high driving safety. In addition to the high-quality carbon material, the elegantly integrated battery, which has a stabilizing effect on driving due to its central focus, also contributes to this. With an optional luggage carrier battery, a range of more than 200 kilometers is possible. With specially designed chainstay cross-sections, a carbon fork or suspension fork and cornering-proof 50 mm tires, nothing is left to be desired.

Simplon Kagu Bosch

The Simplon Kagu with its proven balloon tire concept has stood for unique reliability, absolute driving pleasure and enormous versatility for years. The new Bosch electric version is available with either the very powerful Performance Line CX or the compact, lighter and quieter Active Line Plus motor, each with a 500 Wh battery. With an optional luggage rack battery, a range of over 200 kilometers is even possible. The modern Simplon e-bike with an elegantly integrated battery and internally routed cables impresses on all routes - with a permissible total weight of 160 kg, it is also the right companion for longer journeys.

Simplon Kagu Bosch – Features

  • Stability
The head tube measures 1,5 inches throughout and, together with the down tube and top tube, ensures maximum steering precision and stability - a basic requirement for a real touring bike. Disturbing trains on the frame are non-existent with the Kagu Bosch! All cables run harmoniously into the down tube and ensure a tidy look.
  • Integrated battery
The battery is perfectly integrated in the down tube and harmonises with the shape of the frame. It supplies the drive with a full 500 Wh and supports the driver for a long time. The battery can be easily removed for charging, but the charging process can also be carried out in the built-in state.

  • Front loaders
The high charging capacity of the Kagu Bosch is not just limited to the battery. If you are traveling with heavy luggage, you can use carriers both on the rear and on the fork. The maximum total load (rider + bike + luggage) is 160 kg.
  • multifunction frame
Thanks to the divisible seatstay, belt drives can also be fitted. The adjustable dropout provides the necessary belt tension and allows the use of a wide variety of hub and derailleur gears.

Simplon Silkcarbon Neodrives

Style meets technical innovation. The Simplon Silkcarbon Neodrives not only wins every beauty contest, it is also equipped with a variety of great features. Thanks to the newly developed Neodrives motor and the 500 Wh battery fully integrated into the frame, the e-bike rolls powerfully and quietly over any terrain and, thanks to the increased range, is also intended for longer tours. The light but stiff full carbon frame ensures optimal handling and becomes a real style icon thanks to the carbon luggage rack that is perfectly integrated into the frame design.

Simplon Silkcarbon Neodrives – Features

  • steering head area
The stem is integrated into the head tube thanks to a special cover. In addition, all trains run cleanly into the frame and underline the clean look.
  • From the same mould

  • Integrated battery with 500 WH
The battery is beautifully embedded in the down tube and ensures a long-lasting energy supply. Power button and capacity indicator are on the top. The battery can be removed from the frame for charging, for example, using a key.
  • Rack
The use of carbon on the main struts gives the luggage rack its unique shape, which harmonises perfectly with the frame and wheel. The construction generates high levels of rigidity and trumps classic aluminum carriers when it comes to permanent stress. The luggage rack is made of aluminum, is "Clamp-It" compatible and, in conjunction with an additional cross brace, also allows panniers.

Simplon Kagu Alber

Whether women's or men's bike: Both variants have space for the powerful frame battery. This makes the Simplon Kagu Alber an enduring tourer and strong pack animal with a permissible total weight of up to 160 kg. With the extra-wide BALLOON tires, it rolls easily, comfortably and puncture-proof.
