Product news: The Schwalbe brand has radically revised its popular Hans Dampf all-round MTB tire for the new season. The new profile with stable blocks and an aggressive design, in conjunction with Addix Compounds, should guarantee maximum riding fun in the Enduro, All Mountain and Bike Park areas. The new Hans Dampf is recommended for all riders who find the Magic Mary too extreme and the Nobby Nic too tame.
For the new season, the Schwalbe brand has ventured into the bestseller Hans Dampf. The popular all-round tire scored points with riders primarily because of its sovereign driving pleasure in rough terrain and its good-natured handling. Due to the very high demands of modern mountain bikes, however, the company felt compelled to modernize the tire. Despite radical changes, the new Hans Dampf is said to have retained its characteristic driving characteristics. Just looking at the profile reveals enormous differences to the predecessor.
The blocks, which are up to 50% larger, should guarantee the rider non-destructive grip in every position, curve and extreme situation. Even in the drift area, the Hans Dampf should remain easy to control. So that the shoulder blocks do not buckle when cornering aggressively, they have a stable support. On the other hand, the large center blocks are responsible for precise power transmission with low flex behavior. The striking tunnels are arranged as a block of four. The more open design is used for reliable self-cleaning. The transition blocks between the center and shoulder block ensure a predictable and reliable ride.
The new Hans Dampf was developed for use both at the front and at the back - a real all-purpose weapon! As a front wheel, the tire should impress with its guiding properties, and at the rear with merciless traction. The wide range of applications for the Schwalbe Allrounder is enduro, all mountain and bike park. The new Hans Dampf will be available from July in sizes 29 x 2.35, 29 x 2.6, 27.5 x 2.35, 27.5 x 2.6, 27.5 x 28, 26 x 2.35 and 24 x 2.35. The prices are 32,90 euros for the Performance Line version and 57,90 euros for the exclusive Evolution Line model.
