When developing the new trail hardtail San Quentin, one goal was in the foreground: Offer the rider unlimited riding fun! In order to implement this ambitious project, the American cult manufacturer Marin Bikes has teamed up with a freeride legend, Matt Jones. The result is a bike that should impress with performance and style both in the air and on the trail. For this purpose, the agility of a dirt jump bike was combined with the liveliness of a trail hardtail. Maximum safety and robustness should also be characteristic of the Marin San Quentin. The bike manufacturer has also incorporated these strengths into the name: The name comes from the oldest prison in California, San Quentin State Prison.
The Marin San Quentin is available with 27.5" shells in three different configurations. The prices are between 849 euros and 1.849 euros. The top model of the San Quentin 3 series comes with a 130 mm RockShox Revelation RC suspension fork, Shimano BR-MT400 disc brakes, 11-speed Shimano SLX gears and X-Fusion Manic Vario seat post. In the video, Matt Jones and Timo Pritzel show what is possible with the little wheel. Definitely looks like a lot of driving fun! If you want to rock out with the Marin San Quentin yourself, you have to wait until October 2018.
