Product news: Product news: Look Exakt Pedal Powermeter - more accurate, lighter, more efficient

June 1, 2018 by Florian Nowak

Product news: The new Look Exakt power meter is the result of close collaboration between two industry leaders: Look and SRM. The performance measurement pedal should set new standards and enable every driver to use an exact performance measurement.

SRM developed the first power meter in 1986 and continues to advance this technology by breaking new ground in cooperation with the best riders in the world and still being one of the most accurate power meters. Look invented the first clipless pedal in 1984 that revolutionized the world of cycling. The Look pedals, which have advanced this technology over the past few decades, are an example of innovation and performance. Now they have joined forces and presented a totally integrated power meter that is extremely accurate, reliable and ultra-light! The exact power meter changes the rules and redefines the limits to enter a world of precision, control and constant evolution.

The carbon pedal body ensures incomparable lightness and rigidity. The contact surface is made of stainless steel for optimal stability and power transmission. The spindle, the result of the most advanced development, preserves all the electronic components. It is mounted with an oversized ball bearing to ensure better load distribution. The new Look Exakt power meter uses the latest technical innovations. Constructed with SRM's experienced, handcrafted precision, the pedal measures and transmits accurate and consistent performance data for the performance-oriented cyclist. Precise, lighter, more efficient: simply Exact. The watertightness of the axle line is the focus of the integration of new components. With the IPX7 standard you can face even the most adverse weather conditions. The greatest achievements are humble details, with slight but steady progress. With the Look Exakt pedal it is possible to measure every detail of performance to improve training. Equipped with Bluetooth LE Thanks to the ANT + compatibility, you can record, analyze and share all data with the Exakt power meter.

Look Exact Power Meter Pedal – Features

We hope to get a test device soon so that we can tell you more about the actual function and accuracy. A big advantage of the pedal-based power meter, in addition to the weight factor, is that this system can be easily installed and used on different bikes.
