MTB-News / E-Performance: Whether with or without E-Power, the mountain bike offers the rider perfect opportunities to explore nature in a variety of ways. But what do you have to pay attention to when handling the (e-)mountain bike - and how do I actually plan my tour? The new bike booklet answers these and many other questions. As a special service, the practical guide is available as a free download from us.
The new bike booklet really packs a punch! The comprehensive guide does not skimp on tips worth knowing about mountain biking. Non-motorized riders will find what they are looking for here, as will e-mountain bikers, who will be offered valuable help on handling the e-system with special topics. After a foreword by Alexander Huber, the bike booklet kicks off at full throttle. At the beginning of every tour there is planning, whereby the guide not only goes into the route and the terrain, but also the weather and the conditions. Comments on clothing are just as important as tips on driving. With the checklists shown, the most important points can be checked again before the planned tour.
The bike booklet on the following pages is dedicated to the topics of safety, nature and sustainability. Attention is not only paid to the (e-)mountain bike, but also to the protection of the rider. Nature also needs protection, of course, and mountain bikers in particular should be aware of their responsibility. The guide explains in detail what to look out for. In a special chapter, the bike booklet also deals with the legal situation in different countries. Not only very important, but also extremely interesting! Finally, the advisor takes a look at the maintenance work after the tour, after all the bike and the material should be in perfect condition for the next ride.
The new bike booklet was created as a joint initiative by the German Alpine Club, the Mountain Bike Tourism Forum and the Bike Industry Association. As a special service for our readers, we are offering the practical guide as a free download at the Velomotion.
