Test: The Hostettler family business, which began in 100 as a simple bicycle and motorcycle workshop, has more than 1906 years of Swiss company history. With increasing expansion, the motorcycle clothing brand iXS was launched in 1979. 22 years passed before iXS entered the mountain bike segment and the starting signal for a successful future was fired.
iXS Hack Shorts: NockOut™ padding in key areas
As light protection for the hips and buttocks, the iXS Hack Shorts are perfect for every trail and enduro tour. The NockOut™ padding on the hips and thighs prevent typical impact injuries. Designed as underwear, the iXS Hack Short can be worn unobtrusively and comfortably under regular shorts at any time. The upper material is very elastic and adapts well to thighs and hips. In order to enable a comfortable and tweak-free movement, the NockOut™ protective pads are arranged in the right places and cut out at the crucial folds. An antibacterial seat pad ensures a comfortable and pleasant fit, the special 3D shape adapts well and also prevents a numb feeling even on longer tours. The shorts are available for men and women in sizes XS-S, ML and L-XL, and three sizes for the smallest are also available (KS, KM and KL).
iXS Hack Shorts: Provides good protection and is unobtrusive
After the first test rides, the iXS Hack Short quickly established itself in our daily use. Instead of the classic underwear that is only padded on the buttocks, this is now worn. Very comfortable and yet protective at the crucial moment, these are worn unobtrusively under mountain bike shorts. It leaves enough space in the vital zones and yet sits neatly and snugly. All inserts and seams are neatly sewn and processed. Designed as underwear, the iXS hack shorts are often subjected to a wash cycle. Even after 10 washes at 40 degrees, we couldn't find any signs of wear, whether it was the fit, the seat padding or the NockOut™ padding. All inserts and seams are neatly sewn and processed.
