Product news: CONTEC: New powerful solutions for lighting and security

16 October 2018 by Andrew Waldera

Product news: Just in time before the beginning of the dark season, CONTEC provides bright moments with new high-performance solutions. The lighting innovations from Hartje's own brand include two lighting sets, light hub dynamos and reflective handlebar tapes.

PowerHouse and PowerHouse +: Light and efficient hub dynamos

The PowerHouse and PowerHouse + hub dynamos are new to the CONTEC range. Powerful NdFeB magnets are designed to ensure efficient energy generation and high performance with low resistance. The PowerHouse dynamos are available with both a hollow axle and a 15mm thru axle. Both hub dynamo models are available with Center Lock and 6-hole disc brake mounts, the PowerHouse hollow axle variant is also available for systems with rim brakes. Depending on the version, the prices range between 119,95 and 159,95 euros. The hub dynamos will be available from mid-December.

Aurora: Powerful StVZO-compliant front lighting series

The Aurora bicycle lighting series includes three models for hub dynamos or e-bikes. The Aurora 100 N+ or 100 E+ with 40 lux marks the entry point, followed by the Aurora 180 N+ or 180 E+ with 60 lux. The top model Aurora 200 N+ or 230 E+ comes with a CNC-milled aluminum housing and three high-performance LEDs , which deliver 100 lux/230 lumens in the e-bike version - the hub dynamo variant also offers an impressive 80 lux/200 lumens. All lights have a removable front reflector and side light outlets. The front lights, which will be available from mid-November, cost 29,95 euros, 39,95 euros or 79,95 euros, depending on the model.

24sevenPlus and LS-247: Two powerful battery light sets

The battery front light of the StVZO-compliant battery light set LS-247 offers two brightness levels (30/15 lux), a light duration of up to 6 hours and a battery change indicator. The 24sevenPlus lighting set, which also conforms to the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations, guarantees even more power. The brightness can be adjusted in three levels from 15 to 70 lux, a light sensor automatically adjusts the brightness to the ambient brightness. The 1.300 mAh battery, which should generate a burn time of up to 9 hours depending on the mode, is charged practically via USB. The battery rear lights belonging to both sets come with angle-adjustable brackets for tool-free installation. The battery light sets 24sevenPlus (EUR 49,95) and LS-247 (EUR 24,95) are available now.

R/FLX and R/FLX +: Reflective bar tapes

Also available now are the reflective R/FLX and R/FLX + handlebar tapes. Thanks to the 3M reflective layer hidden under the grip surface, the handlebar tape lights up in the headlight cone of other road users, thus providing extra visibility. There are three versions to choose from: R/FLX T+ Dual Density with an ultra-soft surface, R/FLX G+ Dual Density polyurethane with a structured surface for even better grip or R/FLX with a classic look and feel with a leather-like surface structure. The price for each version is 34,95 euros.
