MTB News: The riders' carousel begins to turn - and immediately causes a bang: The three-time overall World Cup winner Jolanda Neff switches to the Trek Factory Racing XC team. The 25-year-old Swiss will thus become a teammate of Emily Batty, who will also compete for Trek Factory Racing in 2019.
At only 25 years of age, Jolanda Neff has already had an enormous impact on MTB cycling. As an elite world champion, three-time world champion, three-time European champion, four-time Swiss champion and winner of twelve World Cups, the Swiss is almost a permanent guest on the top spot on the podium. Even with the new team, the focus will continue to be on the World Cup Cross Country. Selected events are also planned with the Trek Factory Racing Cyclocross and Trek Segafredo teams. The goals are high: The Trek Factory Racing XC Team, led by Emily Batty and Jolanda Neff, is also aiming for the world championship title - the chances of this are really not bad. In 2018 Emily Batty was third, Jolanda Neff could even celebrate her second Elite World Champion title after winning the 2019 World Cup after 2017. Trek will announce the full roster of the Trek Factory Racing XC team in the coming months.
“I'm extremely excited to join the Trek family. I love Trek as a brand and am passionate about their philosophy of developing strong women's programs alongside their men's teams. It's also a great pleasure that I will be able to race in MTB, CX, and road, all under the same family of teams. It has been my lifelong dream to race at the highest level on the fastest bikes across different disciplines, and I have found the perfect partner.” – Jolanda Neff
