With light, highly breathable Polartec Alpha insulation material, wet, cold and wind should no longer be an obstacle. Because especially when the days are getting shorter again, the Gore-Tex Shakedry technology offers ambitious racing cyclists one more reason to pursue their sport even in such conditions. Because nothing is more annoying than being completely soaked or chilled after only a short time when you dare to go outside in such bad conditions. The Gore C5 1985 insulation jacket is now a remedy for this.

Absolutely waterproof, extremely breathable and because there is no textile outer layer, drops of water roll off permanently. It is also the lightest Gore-Tex material ever. In the Gore C5 1985 Shakedry Jacket, this material is now combined with Polartec Alpha, a polyester knit in a low-density knit that wicks sweat almost unhindered.
"We decided on this versatile insulation material because it is very light, dries extremely quickly and, in combination with Gore-Tex Shakedry, can really show off its high breathability," says product manager Jürgen Erd.
The decisive advantage of this combination should be that racing cyclists do not get cold. Because even on sweaty climbs or longer rides, moisture is wicked away from the inside and no water can penetrate from the outside. So you don't have to take your jacket off and put it on again, as is so often the case, in order not to sweat too much or freeze afterwards.
Additional details include an adjustable collar with Velcro, a back pocket with a zip, elastic cuffs on the sleeves and partially elastic hems on the sleeves, as well as reflective logo and print. The Gore C5 1985 insulation jacket with Gore-Tex Shakedry will be available for the first time from autumn 2018 in the colors matt black and grey.
