Spectrum: Bicycle travel analysis: ADFC and Travelbike are once again looking for Germany's hotspots

26 November 2018 by Andrew Waldera

Spectrum: The survey for the ADFC Travelbike cycle tour analysis is now running until January 6th. The travel hotspots in Germany are being sought again this year. The bicycle club is therefore calling on cyclists from all over Germany to share their experiences of the last cycling holidays and cycling trips online.

For the 20th time, the ADFC is looking for bicycle travel hotspots in Germany. Cyclists from all over Germany are invited to use an online survey to share their experiences of the last cycling excursions and cycling holidays. All cyclists who have taken trips or vacations by bike in the last year can take part in the survey, which runs until January 6th. Among other things, they are asked about the length of the cycle tour, the sources of information for the preparation and the assessment of the quality of the route. The survey takes about 15 minutes, but taking part can be worthwhile. Anyone who then takes part in the competition has the chance to win a pedelec. The results of the survey will be presented in March 2019 at ITB Berlin. The analysis is carried out by the ADFC in cooperation with the e-bike rental network Travelbike.

"Cycling tourism is booming - and the cycle tour analysis helps tourism regions and route operators to better and better adapt their offers to the needs of cyclists. The cycle tour analysis provides very precise information on which destinations will be particularly popular next year, how cycle tourists find their way around and which services are a must.” – Louise Böhler, ADFC tourism expert
