Product news / Cyclocross: Under the rather martial name Violent Road Rage, Ghost is presenting three new cyclocross machines for the 2019 season, all of which were designed for uncompromising racing. The bikes inherit some features from the MTB sector and should shine when the competition is giving up.
Cyclocross is a discipline of cycling that is extremely strenuous for both material and person. Quick changes of direction, sharp braking manoeuvres, explosive acceleration. Everything in demanding terrain and often – to put it mildly – in less than ideal conditions places extreme demands on the material. The new Ghost Violent Road Rage Cyclocrosser should face these. For 2019, Cross fans have a choice of three model variants.

All models come with a carbon frame, but Ghost only uses the super-light UC version for the top model, while the LC version, which weighs a few grams, is used elsewhere. Both frames and thus all models have their geometry in common, which deviates from cross conventions in a few points and is clearly inspired by MTB sport. This includes, for example, the steering angle, which is relatively flat at 70° in order to generate smoother running in demanding terrain. The sloping top tube clearly has its origins in full-grown off-road bikes and gives the rider more legroom.
