From June 26th to 28th, 2020, the world's best cross-country riders will compete in Albstadt for the coveted rainbow jersey of the world champion. The preparations for the highlight in Albstadt's sports history have of course already started due to the size. Last Monday, the organizing committee, made up of representatives from sports, administration, business, tourism and associations in various project groups, was presented in the Albstadt town hall.

"The World Cup should have added value for the city, the region and the country" - Lord Mayor Klaus Konzelmann

With the two German U23 champions Ronja Eibl and Max Brandl, two athletes were also present as figureheads, who should be the focus of the world championships at the end of June 2020. Also on site was the German cyclo-cross and MTB legend Mike Kluge, who knows all facets of mountain biking. At the end of the performance, the countdown timer was unveiled in the Albstadt town hall 577 days before the event.
