Product news: Advent Calendar #19: S-Works Prevail II with ANGi

19 December 2018 by the editorial office

Product news: The S-Works Prevail II is the lightest and best ventilated helmet that Specialized has ever developed. It combines low weight, first-class ventilation and an aerodynamic design. The absolutely high-quality padding also ensures more comfort when you sweat heavily. More protection and performance is not possible.

S-Works Prevail II: Security taken to a new level

The new ANGI Crash Sensor offers you and your loved ones safety like never before - in combination with the Specialized Ride iOS or Android app, the sensor detects a fall and sends an SMS to the specified contacts. It also syncs through the Ride app and with STRAVA® for GPS-based tracking. In addition to the ANGI crash sensor, the patented MiPS system also ensures extra safety. The "floating" intermediate layer, which is mechanically separated from the multi-density helmet shell, ensures that the high rotational forces are significantly reduced in the event of an impact. This intermediate layer is flexible by 10mm to 15mm, which reduces the impact forces passed on to the brain.

S-Works Prevail II: The MiPS system is clearly visible.

S-Works Prevail II: Lighter and significantly better ventilated

Thanks to the internal channels, the newly developed 4th Dimension ventilation system ensures excellent ventilation and keeps the head pleasantly cool. Aerodynamics are also taken into account and optimized for road use. A comfortable fit and optimal adjustment to the shape of the head is guaranteed by the Tri-Fix strap system. In combination with the ultra-light and height-adjustable Mindset II holding system with micro-ratcheting, the S-Works Prevail II can be adjusted very easily. Thanks to the quick-drying inner lining with Gutter-Action Brow, sweat is quickly wicked away and also keeps your eyes dry.
