E-Performance: With the "Shimano E-Tube Ride" app, Shimano offers a new way of displaying all riding-specific information directly on your smartphone. The app is compatible with all possible Shimano STEPS drives, from the E5000 trekking and city drive to the E8000 EMTB drive.
In the future, all drive-specific information can be shown directly on the smartphone with even more detail than on the very small Shimano Steps display, which is larger than what is usual on a cell phone. All you need is the Bluetooth module EW-EN100, so the costs for the new e-bike can be kept low or the existing Shimano Steps system can be easily retrofitted.
In addition to the most important information on the driving mode, speed, gear and distance, further details can be displayed by simply swiping on the display. So you have your Steps e-drive in full view with all the information.
All of the information shown on the display can be selected and changed via the Settings menu, and the language and units of measurement can also be adjusted here. Another innovative feature is the maintenance indicator of the Steps drive. In this way, you always have an eye on maintenance intervals and the associated care, which enables the bike and drive to have a long service life.
