Joachim Eilers with 10th World Cup victory
It took more than three years before Joachim Eilers was able to celebrate another victory in the World Cup – yesterday in Berlin it happened. In front of around 2.000 enthusiastic spectators, he left the Frenchman Quentin Lafargue and the Dutchman Theo Bos behind at the track cycling world cup in the capital. However, this was not the only medal of the day for the BDR. In the Madison, Roger Kluge and Theo Reinhardt secured third place in their hometown when the Danes won.
