Product news: Feedback Sports Range: Compact torque wrench for hobby mechanics and professionals

March 25, 2019 by Andreas Waldera

Product news: It is a well-known fact that things come off when they get stuck – or in the worst case, they can even be completely broken! With the new range torque wrench from Feedback Sports, this horror scenario should be nipped in the bud. The compact torque wrench is aimed at hobby mechanics, teams and professionals alike. According to the manufacturer, the range, which weighs just 75 grams, was specially developed for bicycles.

Not only ambitious mechanics know that screws must always be tightened with the specified torque. Excessive clamping forces can damage the thread or even cause the screw to tear off. Even more dramatic, however, is the screw connection of carbon parts. Hitting the screw too hard can even lead to cracks, which in turn can result in a fall while driving. The US manufacturer Feedback Sports has developed the new Range torque wrench so that the screws can be set precisely according to specifications. In contrast to other torque wrenches, this tool was specially developed for the bicycle sector.

With a specified weight of only 75 grams, the compact key is extremely lightweight. In combination with the slim design, the tool can be taken anywhere. The range combines a torque wrench and 2-way ratchet in one tool. With the range, the desired torque is not set in advance, but pressure is applied until the required torque appears on the display. The advantage is that the torque wrench can be used immediately at any point on the wheel without pre-setting. The scope of delivery includes 14 common hex, hexalobular and Phillips bits made of S2 steel, including two longer bits for special requirements. The complete set is available in a slim, protective case at a retail price of EUR 89,95.
