General: NC-17 presents new signature pedals from Tommy G and Tomas Lemoine

March 14, 2019 by Andrew Waldera

Product news: The two slopestyle stars Thomas Genon and Tomas Lemoine have further developed the NC-17 Sudpin IV pedal in cooperation with NC-17 founder Udo Ochendalski. The new flat pedal goes by the name NC-17 Sudpin IV XL TNT Signature Pedal and is intended to guarantee the rider optimal grip and safety in all driving situations.

With numerous podium places and powerful style, Thomas Genon and Tomas Lemoine have been convincing judges and spectators alike for many years. Whether Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship or Red Bull Rampage, the two mountain bike stars have become an integral part of the slopestyle scene. However, Tommy G and Tomas Lemoine not only prove their skills on the bike, but also behind closed doors in product development. In cooperation with NC-17 founder Udo Ochendalski, the two slopestylers have taken on the NC-17 Sudpin IV pedal and further optimized it. The result is a flat pedal that should guarantee the rider optimal grip and safety in all driving situations.

“Especially in slopestyle, the mixture of perfect grip, low weight and large footprint is super important. The pedals must provide good support, convey security and allow you to position your foot correctly after each trick. I run NC-17 Sudpin IV XL TNT Signature Pedals on all my bikes and also rode them at Red Bull Rampage last year.” – Tommy G.

The all-new NC-17 Sudpin IV XL TNT Signature Pedal features a CNC-machined 6061 aluminum pedal body with a large 110×106mm concave surface. No fewer than twelve exchangeable steel pins bite into the sole on each side. Each pedal comes with three double-sealed precision bearings and a high-quality CrMo axle. With a height of 17,7 mm, the flat pedal should also offer the rider the perfect compromise between lightweight construction and stability. The implemented "NC-17 Fail Safe" system prevents the pedal body from separating from the axle in the event of a malfunction due to extremely high loads. The NC-17 Sudpin IV XL TNT Signature Pedal, available in six colors, is now available at a price of 129,95 euros.

“It was really cool and fascinating to have been involved in the development of the pedals. The end result reflects my and Tommy G's idea of a perfect flat pedal. It doesn't matter if I ride pump track, speed&style, bike park or slopestyle, the TNT signature pedals are on all my bikes.” – Tomas Lemoine
