Product news: With the CPTL (kæpitl), ROSE Bikes presents a carbon urban bike with a striking design and high-quality equipment. The fully integrated frame design looks very elegant, but the premium equipment also leaves nothing to be desired. But if you want to call one of these noble bikes your own, you have to be quick. The Rose CPTL is only available as a limited Edelrose collection model.

Rose CPTL: One platform, three styles.
The basis for three different models is the CPTL carbon frame with a frame weight of just 1400 g, which means that the total weight of all three models is less than 13 kg. All three models are powered by a high-quality Gates CDX carbon belt, which cannot be surpassed in terms of durability. The power is transmitted to a smooth Shimano Alfine 11-speed gear hub. The Shimao Metrea disc brake, which has been optimized for road traffic, is decelerated and can be dosed well and still delivers a lot of braking performance.
The two model variants CPTL Retro and CPTL Street are already delivered with a stylish combination of fender and luggage rack from the Wingee brand, to which two additional side bags, each with up to 8 kg of luggage, can be attached. The front and rear lights are perfectly and unobtrusively integrated and thus ensure the necessary safety in urban traffic. For riders who love the retro style, ROSE has equipped the CPTL RETRO with a Brooks B17 Imperial leather saddle and Brooks handlebar grips in the same colour. The WTB Horizon Road Plus tires in tanwall look round off the high-quality look. The large-volume road tire enables excellent traction and does not disturb its driver even on uneven surfaces.
With the CPTL Speed, Rose clearly focuses on the topic of speed. In contrast to its siblings, this variant completely dispenses with fenders and lighting. Another difference: the wheel size. The CPTL SPEED has 28" wheels, the other two variants roll on smaller 27,5" models. This ensures, among other things, increased smoothness.
Integration was at the top of the list of requirements in the development of the CPTL. “My vision was to develop an urban bike that completely merges technology and design. For this minimalist, clean look, for example, all shift and brake cables disappear completely inside the frame. This full integration is so far unique in the urban sector,” explains Max Schrom, developer at Rose Bikes. If you look closely, you will discover that all add-on parts - such as the stem, headlights and mudguards - are adapted to the shape or even integrated directly into the carbon frame. The Urban Bike CPTL looks like it was made from one piece. Thanks to the special shape of the Rose CPTL, a particularly long seat post is used, which offers a lot of flexibility and comfort. In combination with a compatible tire width of up to 50 millimeters, the driver glides effortlessly over any surface.
Rose CPTL: The Tape Art Project
The CPTL frame also forms the basis for a very special project. Since themes such as art and street art are very much alive in metropolises such as Berlin, a design bicycle such as the Rose CPTL fits perfectly with the idea of presenting a bicycle as an art object in a new light. The artist collective "Tape That" from Berlin has provided three of these frames with their individual art of adhesive and thus created three unique pieces. These were exhibited at the kolektif Bike Fair Berlin as part of an exclusive bike vernissage. “The idea of our project is to present a bicycle in a completely new way, namely as an art object. And because topics like art and street art are really lived in metropolises like Berlin, an urban bike like the CPTL is of course a perfect fit. It will thus become a rolling work of art for the capital,” explains Anatol Sostmann, Marketing Manager at Rose Bikes.
