John Cooper was the most radical automotive engineer in racing history. Despite the prevailing design, he was the first to build a rear-engine racing car and was the first to win a Formula 1 race in such a racing car. The man who saw the Mini for what it was: a perfectly handling car that could win races; ultimately leading to the creation of the legendary Mini Cooper.
It is this history of technology and innovation that makes Cooper what it is today. In 2009, Mike and Charlie Cooper, John Cooper's son and grandson, revived the Cooper brand's claim to bikes.
