E-Performance: Brose is now continuing its success strategy from the drives area with the displays. Just like the drives of the family company, which is designed for the special requirements of the various e-bikes, the displays now follow. Three different variants were presented, they could hardly be more different, but they have a few things in common. The slim design, the wealth of functions and a practice-oriented, user-friendly ergonomics run through the variants Brose Display Allround, Brose Display Remote and Brose Display Central.
Brose has put the right control element in the right place for every situation. The rider's hand always remains on the handlebars while riding and the support levels can be adjusted directly on the thumb recess. Light and menu are operated via the buttons directly above. The pushing aid is also conveniently located below the step button. The highly praised harmony of the Brose drives with the different operating conditions of the e-bikes is now rounded off by the adjustment of the displays to the drives.
Brose Display: Three displays for all types of bikes
All three Brose displays are basically suitable for any e-bike with Brose Drive and can be easily retrofitted. The three models differ not only in size and mounting position, but above all in the information content. Depending on the model, the display shows the battery charge status, support level, speed, range, odometer, trip information, light, time and pushing assistance. Both the Brose Display Allround and Brose Display Central versions are equipped with backlighting so that all information can be read well in direct sunlight or at night. This can either be set manually or regulated automatically depending on the lighting conditions. The displays also have an impact-resistant ABS housing. The displays have a direct connection to the digital Brose Service Tool for quick maintenance and repairs by certified dealers.
Brose Display Allround: The name says it all
Here the name says it all, universally applicable and suitable for every bike. The Brose Display Allround has a 1,5-inch display and, thanks to the slight curvature of the display, is easy to read even in direct sunlight and hardly reflects. The embossing of the six buttons offers a clear feel and the placement an ergonomically optimized usability. At just 50 grams, the compact display control unit weighs just as much as a smartwatch. This display variant complements sporty models as well as design-oriented city or trekking bikes.
Brose Display Remote: Ideal for purists
Full functionality with a minimalist design, the extremely slim Brose Display Remote has a colored LED strip for displaying the state of charge and speed level, as well as six embossed buttons for a high-quality feel. All the necessary information is displayed in this small operating unit. The control unit can be mounted on either side of the handlebars and is suitable for bikes with equipment that has been reduced to the essentials.
Brose Display Central: For a great overview
The screen-only variant Brose Display Central offers optimal readability in every situation. The driver keeps everything in view on the center-mounted, 3,5-inch, high-resolution, color display with backlight. It is operated ergonomically via the Brose Remote, which is conveniently mounted. Its LEDs switch off to avoid a double display. This screen variant is ideal for city and trekking bikes.
The first customer bikes with Brose displays will be available in stores from Eurobike 2019.
