News: The German world-class triathlete Patrick Lange was able to start the new season with a win at the weekend and not only present his skills, but also his new partner Castelli. The Italian clothing manufacturer, which is not only a sponsor of Team Ienos or the leader jersey at the current Giro d'Italia, will now also work with the reigning Ironman champion.
The Austria-based German will join Castelli's top-flight triathlon squad including Mirinda Carfrae, Laura Philipp, Cameron Wurf, Frederik Van Lierde, Tim O'Donnell and the Raelert Brothers.
"I am extremely excited to begin my partnership with Castelli, a brand with a strong heritage in cycling and triathlon that can be felt in every garment, offering comfort, functionality, industry-leading performance and unparalleled design." - Patrick Lange.
Lange now uses the full Castelli triathlon range and will be using the brand new PR Speed Suit for most races, which has been modified to suit his specific needs. According to the athlete, this should also have a positive effect on his performance on the bike, as he wants to benefit from the aerodynamic know-how of the Italians.
“We have already achieved remarkable results with many of our athletes, including numerous world championship titles and renowned triathlon classics. Our athletes give us valuable feedback that we use to continually improve our products. Most of them end up in our triathlon collection, helping every triathlete get faster and more comfortable. Working with the current Kona champion is a huge challenge for us and we believe we can help him go even faster. We are looking forward to a successful cooperation. – Steve Smith, Brand Manager at Castelli
Patrick Lange already achieved his first victory in the new outfit at the Ironman 70.3 Vietnam last weekend. After his Asia trip, the German will return to Europe to focus on his next main goals, Ironman Germany (Frankfurt) and the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Nice.
