Children's bike test: The Bulls Tokee Lite 20 initially catches the eye with its rather unusual frame shape, which is convincing in practice. Otherwise there is hardly anything to criticize about the Bulls children's bike.
The tokee in the test color naturally appealed to the girls in particular; however, it is also available in silver-blue. At 9,4 kilos, the bike is even lighter than the manufacturer states - and even with a side stand, which is of course extremely practical on tours, at the playground or in front of school. The other equipment is also pleasing: V-brakes with children's brake handles are a good choice because they are easy to maintain, light and robust; the 1,5 inch wide tires have a profile tailored more to asphalt without appearing slippery on loose surfaces. The combination of saddle candle and cock certainly looks a bit cheap on the otherwise successful bike.
The frame and fork of the Bulls Tokee Lite have threaded holes, and there is also a quick release for adjusting the seat height. The shape of the frame looks unusual at first glance, but it is well chosen in terms of the overhang height: Even with the saddle set very low, children do not run the risk of bumping into the top tube when they step down forwards.
The Bulls is well-equipped with eight gears shifted with a smooth twist shifter; with 11 to 34 teeth, the cassette is wide. Spoke reflectors are not installed, but there are reflectors at the front and rear - in "MonkeyLink" slots, into which special battery lights can also be pushed. However, the light set is quite expensive at around 80 euros. However, this fact does not change the good overall impression of the Bulls Tokee Lite.
