Product news: There are many things that need to fit between the bike and the rider to ensure a fun and above all safe experience. Shoes play a small, often underestimated part. The mountain bike specialists from Cube have had a wide variety of clothing and accessories in their range for a long time and have developed massively in recent years. We took a closer look at the current Cube GTY Maze flat pedal shoes and tested them extensively.

Cube GTY Maze: Functional and robust construction
The upper material of the Cube GTY Maze consists of microfiber, PU and neprene. This material mix is not only easy to care for and robust, the shoe is also very breathable. The sole is made of soft EVA rubber for enough grip. In order to offer sufficient security, a robust toe cap is also processed in the tip of the foot. This protects the toes in the event of unintentional contact with stones.
Cube GTY Maze: It's all in the details
The small details of the Cube GTY Maze are also interesting. A stable loop is attached to the heel for easy entry, with which you can easily (re)enter the shoe, even with gloves. Inside the shoe you will find a handful of rubber knobs on the heel. Once you are in the shoe, this detail provides additional support. In addition, so that the laces don't constantly flap around wildly on the trail, they can be held firmly on the shoe with a small rubber loop.

Cube GTY Maze: sole with a lot of grip on the pedal
The sole is a bit harder compared to some competing products. This harder sole significantly increases durability. The signs of wear and tear are kept within limits at a depth of almost 10.000 meters in the bike park. But the Cube GTY Maze is also suitable as an everyday shoe.

Due to the profile of the sole, the shoe connects perfectly with the pedal despite its slightly harder sole. It doesn't matter whether you use thin or somewhat more massive pins. All types of pins find their place within the profile recesses without leaving a "loose impression".
The only small disadvantage that can be attributed to the sole is the slightly lower grip on rock and stone. Softer soles have a clear advantage here. But we usually move more with our shoes on the bike than climbing on the rock.

The Cube GTY Maze is available from all Cube dealers. Here lies the RRP at 129,95 euros, over all available Sizes (36-48).
