E-Performance: Continental and Kalkhoff are following a common path in the e-bike sector. The aim of the promising cooperation is the development of specially adapted system components and firmware for individual drive solutions. The new Kalkhoff e-bike models are equipped with Continental's 48V platform, which already contains a large number of jointly developed solutions.
The bicycle manufacturer Kalkhoff recently presented the result of jointly developed changes to the system components as well as months of coordination and tests to its dealers in Ulm. In addition to the familiar support levels, the 48V platform from Continental now also offers new firmware with three new riding modes that can be defined by the rider. The user thus has the opportunity to adapt the performance of the drive system individually to his needs and requirements.

The new developments are rounded off by the newly designed XT 2.0 Bluetooth display. In combination with the free eBike app, numerous connectivity functions such as navigation, weather information and topographically dependent remaining ranges are available to the cyclist. In accordance with the current status, the 660 Wh lithium-ion battery (Integrated Down Tube Battery, IDT) has also been discreetly integrated into the down tube. The system is used in the new Kalkhoff e-bike models.
