Product news: Nox sees itself as a high-tech e-bike manufacturer. Uniqueness and high quality are the priorities. The latest creation, the Nox Helium, should also follow this model. In any case, the bare facts of the Fazua E-MTB arouse more than just curiosity.
Nox is located in Zell am Ziller, a good region for cycling. The name is still associated with Berlin, hence the brand. This is still not entirely wrong today. Nox was founded in Berlin in 2004. In 2016, a mutation, probably E-volution, took place. The focus was completely on the subject of e-mountain bikes. The new production site, in the middle of the Austrian Alps, offers a perfect testing ground.
Where there are a lot of vertical meters, you can often get up there with an e-bike, or at least faster. The Nox bikes not only master the duty, but also the freestyle in the field and on the mountain. We have already been able to convince ourselves of this with the Nox Hybrid Enduro 7.1 Pro:

If you move around in alpine terrain, you often have to carry your bike, possibly shoulder it or push it. You're happy about every gram less. And of course, a lighter bike is easier to handle downhill wherever high-speed banging isn't an issue. Nox presents a solution with the Helium models. Nox HeLIUM All Mountain 5.9
If you want an e-all-mountain bike that conveys a natural riding experience, that shines uphill with the extra portion of power in the legs and downhill with the riding performance of a "normal" all-mountain bike, there is little to choose from. E-MTBs simply ride differently than "bio-bikes". Not necessarily worse, but their character is simply different, mainly due to the high weight. The Helium wants to be a bike that you can convert in a flash and that also offers unrestricted freedom for touring without a motor. The Nox HeLIUM AM 5.9 is said to resemble a true all-rounder. A modern and attractive E-MTB that accompanies the rider everywhere, from your home tour to crossing the Alps.
The Fazua evation 1.0 Drive System is used as the motor. With the evation drive, the German motor manufacturer Fazua offers an electric drive system that is primarily aimed at sporty demands and still conveys the natural riding experience of a non-motorized bicycle.
Without the motor-battery unit in the frame, the scales remain at just over 14 kilos, according to the promise. With a 65 degree steering angle, a reach of 446 millimeters in M and 470 in L, as well as a stack value of 613 in M and 617 in L, nothing should stand in the way of driving fun. The seat angle is moderately steep at 74,5 degrees, the long chain stays of 453 millimeters in the 27,5 inch setting and 468 millimeters in the 29 inch setting will certainly help the bike climb the mountain well.
An innovative approach is behind the overall concept, which, according to Nox, corresponds perfectly with the vision and passion of Nox: to constantly rethink e-mountain bikes and raise them to a new level. At first glance, the bike looks very similar. Visually, the frame speaks the same language as the AM model, but comes with somewhat more aggressive geometry data. The attachments are trimmed more in the direction of gravity and the spring travel is also a good deal more generous at 180 millimeters.
