Product news / E-MTB: Drössiger had two prototypes of the new E-MTBs for 2019 at the Eurobike 2020. With either an integrated or semi-integrated battery, a completely newly developed frame and fully customizable equipment, there's a lot of exciting news.
Strolling through the Eurobike 2019, two bikes on display at the Drössiger stand caught our eye. Not only their design language, but also the paintwork made it unmistakably clear: There are new bikes to see here! The two e-bikes in the "Erlkönig design", which is also known from the automotive sector, had fully integrated batteries - a novelty in the Drössiger portfolio. The practiced e-bike eye also made it immediately clear that the proven E-8000 drives from Shimano are still being used and that the new, compact BT-E2020 battery is now being used for the 8035 model year, which "only" 504Wh, but can also be accommodated in an extremely narrow down tube.

There were two models on display – a hardtail and a fully. The latter is aimed at sporty riders, offering 150mm of spring travel and a geometry that is extremely suitable for trails. The exhibition bike was also built with a wheel size mix of 29 inches at the front and wide 650b tires at the rear, making it very trendy. However, a normal 29 inch tire will also find space in the rear triangle. We also find the decision that the new E-Fully will not only be available with the integrated battery extremely exciting – a slightly cheaper variant with a semi-integrated energy storage device will also be launched on the market. Incidentally, there is also a completely newly developed frame here - so no "remnant use" of the previous models.

The hardtail is aimed at those who are looking for a versatile e-bike that can do everything from extended tours to everyday use and short trail excursions. The geometry will be correspondingly balanced. Like many other manufacturers, Drössiger will also offer an equipment package with mudguards and lighting for this model in 2020 - this will quickly turn the E-MTB into a loyal everyday companion or commuter. As with the fully, the hardtail will also be available with both a fully integrated and an external battery.
There is also exciting news to report on the subject of equipment and customization. In the past, buyers were given almost complete freedom when it came to the color scheme of the bikes, but from 2020 this will also be extended to the equipment. The online configurator will then offer numerous options for putting together the desired equipment that suits your own ideas and budget. These can then be printed out and ordered from a specialist retailer or used as a basis for further advice.
