Product news: Fizik Terra X2 Off-Road Range

September 23, 2019 by Florian Nowak

Product news: The Fizik Terra X2 series comes with three new models for the best off-road driving fun and all-mountain use. The Clima, Ergolace and Arctica models offer specific properties for a wide variety of weather conditions or fits.

The big thing that the Fizik Terra X2 shoe line has in common is the X2 outsole. It is what makes the shoes so versatile. The X2 outsole is designed to provide an optimal balance between efficient pedaling performance and flexibility for comfort and control on the bike and on foot. The compressed EVA midsole provides stability and cushioning, while the Vibram Megagrip rubber tread provides grip and traction no matter the conditions underfoot. The directional lug pattern is designed for a secure footing on the pedals.

Fizik Terra X2 Ergolace

As the name might already suggest, the Fizik Terra X2 Ergolace convinces with an ergonomic lace closure, which has a very positive effect on the individual fit. As one would wish for from all-round specialists, the function and form of the Fizik Terra X2 Ergolace also offer a wide range of possible uses. It doesn't matter whether it's high-altitude tours or trail sessions or you sometimes use hiking trails for bike and hike.

With its hard-wearing ripstop fabric, the shoe offers the best protection against the elements and cuts. A PU-laminated toe cap and side reinforcements provide additional comfort
protection and durability. During development, the silhouette was designed to reduce bulk and allow for a slim design.

Fizik Terra X2 Clima

The Fizik Terra X2 Clima is a waterproof and breathable all-mountain shoe that won't budge even in unfavorable riding conditions. The construction of the Clima X2 allows it to adapt to these conditions. It features a waterproof liner that still allows moisture to escape from the inside, regulating temperature and improving comfort. The outside of the upper material protects against the weather, because the multi-layer, durable ripstop fabric is tear-resistant. A PU laminated toe cap and side reinforcements add protection and durability, while the integrated sock-knit gaiter keeps dust and debris out.

Fizik Terra X2 Arctica

The Fizik Terra X2 Arctica is built to withstand the harshest of conditions, even arctic, with a waterproof, breathable and insulated construction specifically designed for riders who venture out in wintry conditions. Thanks to its waterproof and breathable eVent membrane, the Fizik Terra X2 Artica lets water and sleet roll off while still allowing moisture to escape. With its cozy, insulated fleece lining and sockliner, your feet will stay dry and warm when the temperatures drop. The outside of the upper material protects against the weather and is tear-resistant thanks to the multi-layer, durable ripstop fabric.

More than Florian Nowak

Florian Nowak is a professional cyclist at the EuropeTour level and has competed in many international races. At the German championship in 2017, he was the best non-WorldTour professional in 7th place and was therefore able to recommend himself for the Tour de L'Avenir and the World Championships. But he doesn't just feel comfortable on the racing bike, he's also always drawn to off-road terrain. In addition to sport, he works on his second mainstay and has completed his business administration studies at the LMU Munich.
