Spectrum: In order to counter the increasing number of accidents when using e-bikes, the BDR is offering training and further education for e-bike driving safety trainers at the beginning of May. The course will take place in Frankfurt am Main. The registration deadline for the special BDR training offer for FIT FOR e-BIKE instructors is March 15th.
The e-bike is still on the rise. Increasing sales figures demonstrate the unbroken upward trend and the popularity of electrified cycling. The e-bike has also arrived in BDR mass sport. Participation in bike hikes, bike tours and country tours is also possible with the pedelec. BDR coordinator Peter Kyrieleis states that more than 70% of e-bikers are e-bikers in his cycling area – an impressive figure. Unfortunately, with the growing popularity of the built-in tailwind, the number of accidents is also increasing. In order to get the clubs fit, the BDR is offering training and further education to become a FIT FOR e-BIKE instructor on May 02nd and 03rd in Frankfurt/Main. With the training to become a driving safety trainer, clubs should have the opportunity to bring e-bikers into the club and into organized cycling. BDR membership is a prerequisite for participation. The participation fee is 175 euros, the registration deadline is March 15th.
