Cycling: Gregor Mühlberger (Bora – hansgrohe) seems to be in great shape at the moment. The Austrian presented himself in an excellent early form again today at the Mallorca Challenge. At the Trofeo Pollença – Andratx he finished second behind Marc Soler (Movistar).
Only Movistar puts Mühlberger behind
On the third day of the Mallorca Challenge, the German team Bora – hansgrohe left their mark on the race. This time, the Raublinge racing team determined the race events together with Movistar. After the breakaways were initially controlled and later caught up, they were able to Gregor Muehlberger (Bora – hansgrohe) and Marc Soler (Movistar) discontinue. In the last climb, the Spaniard pushed the pace again, so that the Austrian could no longer follow and had to settle for second place.
Gregor Muehlberger:
“The last climb was really tough. I drove from the front, but had no more power reserves. Marc was the stronger in the end. Nevertheless, we can be very satisfied with the result and the race. After three days of racing I just wasn’t fresh enough at the end.”
