Oakley Sutro Eyeshade: 35 years of love for the Eyeshade

February 5rd 2020 by Florian Nowak

Product News: The new Oakley Sutro Eyeshade bridges the past with the future by building on Oakley's 35-year eyeshade history. Powerful colors with a daring, functional design underline the connection to the past and the innovative development work in the field of sport performance eyewear.

The Oakley Sutro caused a stir last season and wanted to completely redesign and revolutionize the look of traditional sports glasses. Again and again you see athletes who wear their bike or sports glasses in their free time. However, the models are often too specially tailored to the activity and out of place in everyday life. Now, as a tribute to its long history, Oakley has brought the newcomer with a retro look with the new Oakley Sutro Eyeshield.

Oakley Sutro Eyeshield Features:

  • Shield Design Lenses: Tall Shield design lenses for better peripheral vision and maximum protection
  • Vented Lenses: Inspired by the Original Eyeshade, the lenses help airflow to protect against fogging
  • B1B Logo: A tribute to the athletes who wore Oakley from the very beginning
  • Nose Pads: Comfortable Unobtainium nose pads to keep frame from slipping off face
  • Prizm Lens Technology: Available with Prizm lenses tuned to enhance color and contrast to see more detail.

More than Florian Nowak

Florian Nowak is a professional cyclist at the EuropeTour level and has competed in many international races. At the German championship in 2017, he was the best non-WorldTour professional in 7th place and was therefore able to recommend himself for the Tour de L'Avenir and the World Championships. But he doesn't just feel comfortable on the racing bike, he's also always drawn to off-road terrain. In addition to sport, he works on his second mainstay and has completed his business administration studies at the LMU Munich.
