The Red Bull District Ride is back in Nuremberg! After a three-year break, the world's best slopestyle mountain bikers will gather again in the Franconian metropolis in late summer to once again determine the best of their kind. The spectacular event in the middle of the old town can look back on a long history. The first Red Bull District Ride in Nuremberg took place in 2005, with Aaron Chase taking the first win. This year, the slopestyle veteran is responsible for designing the course.
The American is already in the mood for the upcoming event: “We designed the course with both the riders and the live show in mind. This year's contest will have a unique flow and provide the riders with more than enough power for exciting runs. Nuremberg is the perfect venue: the city, the terrain, the spectators and the atmosphere make this contest unique”.
Above all, the final district on the main market should offer even more action this year. Exact information about the innovations and an animation of the complete track should follow in the coming weeks. German slopestyle ace Erik Fedko will also be at the start. After finishing fifth three years ago, he has big plans for the upcoming event. At the last Red Bull District Ride in 2017, the American Nicholi Rogatkin secured victory with the first 1440 – i.e. 4 rotations.
