E-Performance: Pendix GmbH manufactures electric drives that can turn almost all bicycles into e-bikes. The retrofit drive Pendix eDrive has been on the market since September 2015. Noiseless, compact, simple and aesthetically pleasing, it fits almost any bike. The Zwickau-based company recently added its first complete bike to its portfolio, and at an attractive price.
Pendix E-Cargorad: New cooperation with VSC
Pendix is now offering its first complete bike in cooperation with the cargo bike manufacturer VSC. This is an extremely robust letter delivery bike with Pendix eDrive drive. So far, the company from Zwickau has primarily specialized in electrical retrofitting for bicycles and bicycle fleets and is now presenting the first complete bike.
Bikes for mail carriers are subject to special requirements. They must be able to carry up to 250 kg and weigh more than 40 kg. In addition, the constant acceleration and braking during delivery operations places special demands on people and material.
Pendix E-Cargorad: Special requirements for special customers
"Without e-support, delivering mail is hard physical work", says Thomas Herzog, Managing Director of Pendix, "We want to help make the job more attractive for deliverers and make delivery companies more efficient."
The delivery wheels with electric drive can relieve the employees and the tours can be made more efficient.
Raik Vollmann, Managing Director of VSC, is also happy about the cooperation. "There were repeated requests from our customers to buy bikes with the robust and maintenance-free Pendix drive because they had already had good experiences with retrofitted delivery bikes."
The wheels can be ordered directly from Pendix. In cooperation with a financing partner, it is also possible to lease the bikes. There is no minimum order quantity.
The bike is available in two versions - these differ in shape, but also in the gears and brakes. The wheels are available from 1790 euros.
