Product news: XC racing knows many faces, from the tactical pro racer who leaves nothing to chance to the hobby racer who prefers the sprint to the tree stump for some air time to the condition for the next climb. Just like any other sport, cross-country racing has many faces, and just as many preferences when it comes to components. The Hayes Bicycle Group has accepted this and revised its product range for XC sports so that there is something for every sporting level and every requirement.
Getting there was not easy for the engineers. In order to keep all driver groups in mind, the perfect balance between weight, stiffness and reliability had to be found.
Sunringlé Düroc 30 Pro
Building on the already proven Düroc platform, the new Düroc 30 Pro features the same proven double wall welded alloy rim, but now features water transfer decals, as well as a quick-locking all-new Super Bubba X hub.
Super Bubba X
The Super Bubba X uses the same reduced ratchet ring technology as the Super Bubba, eliminating threads for easy maintenance and a rock solid interface. However, instead of the two staggered 45 tooth rings found on the Super Bubba, the X only has one 90 tooth ring. This, combined with an offset six-pawl driver body, results in the same high 4 degree engagement and saves 55g to bring the total rear hub weight to 285g.
The structure
The wheels are fitted with straight drawn Wheelsmith DB14 spokes and alloy nipples. The total weight of the kit is 1690g and includes everything you need to set up tubeless in the box. Freewheel options include HG, XD and Microspline.
