E-Performance: For a long time, Niner Bikes only had “manually” driven mountain and gravel bikes in its portfolio. But this is about to change abruptly with the RIP e9 and WFO e9 models. For the two electrically assisted enduro and trail bikes, the small American forge relies on German engineering from Bosch. The Performance Line CX 4th Gen. fires the aluminum bolides immensely, so that two special e-bike models are created.
Niner RIP e9: trail or enduro e-bike?
It is obvious that you only get better on the bike if you ride more, stay out longer or dare the climb early in the morning. The inner pig hunger is definitely easier to overcome with an e-bike. With 150mm travel and 29 inch wheels, the Niner RIP e9 is definitely the everyday all-purpose weapon. Because from the after-work ride to a day trip, the fast and medium-weight touring bike can go anywhere.

The hand-welded 6061 aluminum frame and one-piece motor mount that connects the upper and lower pivots to the shock mount is said to provide exceptional rigidity. Forged seat stays and chain stays, rocker arms, hollowed out dropouts and the characteristic Enduro Max Black Oxide pivot bearings are also used at the critical points, which make this brand new Niner chassis rock solid. The "Ninerds", as they call themselves, are so confident that they ship the RIP e9 (and all other bikes!) with a lifetime guarantee.
The fourth-generation Bosch Performance Line CX provides the necessary propulsion. Thanks to new software, the system achieves a torque of 85 Nm and a maximum output of 250 watts. In addition, a 625 Wh battery is integrated almost invisibly into the down tube, which again significantly increases the range.

A lot of development effort was put into the chassis behavior of the Niner RIP e9. The electric drive reduces the importance of Niner's signature CVA system. That's why the "Ninerds" turned to proven systems and resorted to the Horst-Link 4-rod system and optimized it to the Niner RIP e9. Leverage, shock absorber length and stroke as well as the alignment and installation position were adjusted with great attention to detail and countless tests until the characteristic mechanics of Niner Bikes finally came to the fore again.
The result is a remarkably smooth, balanced spring curve. This cuts a fine figure both uphill and downhill and is suitable for every route. Whether you want to get more rides per week, wring out more miles per ride, or just want to give the ordinary a dose of the extraordinary.
