Cosnefroy wins ahead of Mollema and Pinot

The Route d'Occitanie has ended. On Tuesday, the participating pros completed the last section over 195,0 kilometers from Lectoure to Rocamadour. Although the stage featured only two category XNUMX climbs, it was not an affair for the sprinters due to its overall undulating profile. Instead, in addition to the day's victory, there was another fight for places in the overall ranking. However, there were no major changes. The stage win drove Benoit Cosnefroy (AG2R La Mondiale). The 24-year-old Frenchman is thus celebrating his third win of the season. He missed the Dutchman by two seconds Build Mollema (Trek – Segafredo) and the French Thibaut Pinot (Groupama – FDJ) behind.

Bernal can no longer take Orange

Leader left himself the overall victory of the Route d'Occitanie Egan Bernal (Ineos) no longer take today. After the Colombian won the king's stage with ease yesterday, no one was able to take his orange leader's jersey off him today. The winner of last year's Tour de France finished today's stage two seconds behind in fourth place. teammate Chris Froome (Ineos) started off calmly again today. The Brit reached the finish line in 70th place, more than four minutes behind. This should make the international voices questioning his current level of performance louder.
