E-Performance: The weight screw is constantly being turned down in the bike industry and so this trend does not stop at e-bikes. A German inventor impressively demonstrated that an e-bike racing bike can be brought under ten kilograms. With the title of the lightest e-bike prototype in the world, he secured an entry in the Guinness Book of Records.
The weight of Dennis Freiburg's Freicycle is officially measured 6,872 kg. To ensure that this works and that the frame can withstand all forces, the bicycle testing laboratory velotech.de supported him in his project. Their unique test stand eRig was used.
The result was an e-bike with a friction roller drive, which Dennis developed himself. The range of the lightest e-bike is up to 38 km, depending on the support level.
Congratulations to Dennis Freiburg for being in the Guinness Book of Records!
