MTB News: In his video “An Almost Perfect Dream”, high school graduate Gabriel Wibmer digresses from calculating binomial formulas and instead dreams of doing tricks with passion on his bike. Said and done! For the tricks in his latest clip, the 18-year-old from East Tyrol sometimes had to train for up to six days.
Gabriel Wibmer actually wanted to focus more on the downhill season this year and take part in a few World Cup races, but the Covid 19 pandemic threw a spanner in the works. Since almost all races were canceled, the 18-year-old used the time to start a slightly larger project. In the video "An Almost Perfect Dream" the East Tyrolean performs an impressive backflip-frontflip combo on the trampoline right at the beginning. Then it continues impressively with tricks, for which he had to train for up to six days, according to his own statements. The clip, on which Gabriel Wibmer worked for about three months, was shot in East Tyrol in the summer. Some making-off clips for the video will be released shortly.
“The original idea for the video actually came to me after a long day at school. Who does not know that you are knocked out and tired and then treat yourself to an afternoon nap. I had a dream about THE perfect bike day. But then I suddenly woke up all of a sudden because I had a crash in my dream, haha. So the idea for the clip was more or less pretty random, but I think the video is really something to behold.” – Gabriel Wibmer
