The Dutch continue to rule women's road cycling. The Oranje captured gold and silver in the 143,0-kilometer World Championship race in and around Imola. Radiant winner is Anna van der Breggen. The 30-year-old attacked on the penultimate lap on the climb and was then uncatchable as a soloist. After her triumph in the time trial two days ago, she is celebrating her next world championship title. Behind them, the ailing Dutchwoman broke away in the final lap Annemiek van Vleuten and the Italian Elisa Longo Borghini. In the sprint for silver, the defending champion finally had the better legs on the motorsport race track in Imola. The strong result of the Dutch women crowned them with fourth place Marianne Vos before the German Liana Lippert.
