New FFWD Fast Forward wheels: RYTO 55 and 33 for more speed and driving pleasure!

3 November 2020 by Florian Nowak

Product news: The Dutch specialist FFWD Fast Forward comes with two new wheel models and offers a new aero model with the RYTO55 and a new all-rounder with the RYTO33 for even more driving fun! The new LAW technology in particular should provide the decisive advantage.

FFWD Fast Forward RYOT55 aero wheels

As the name suggests, the new FFWD aero wheels come with a rim height of 55 millimeters and a weight of 1620 grams per set. One of the biggest features is probably the new rim profile, which benefits from the new, so-called LAW technology. LAW stands for Laminar Airflow Wing and was developed to improve aerodynamics and be faster and deliver the best results in real conditions with different tire widths and in a variety of angles of attack. And these speak for themselves, because at some angles up to a spectacular 5 watts are saved. On average, there is a saving of 3,6 watts, which means that the FFWD Fast Forward RYOT55 clearly surpasses its predecessors under all real conditions.

In addition to the aerodynamic advantages, the RYOT55 is also designed for a long service life and offers great power transmission due to the excellent stiffness values. The 21 mm inner rim width, which enables an effective tire width of 28,2 mm when using 25 mm tires, ensures the necessary comfort. The FFWD RYOT55 wheelset is also suitable for tires up to a maximum of 42mm and thus also offers space for gravel tires and all-road action.

The FFWD Fast Forward wheelset RYOT55 is also based on the new DT Swiss 240 hubs, which feature an improved EXP ratchet system. The hubs now offer even higher precision with easier maintenance and increased rigidity with a lower weight.

FFWD RYOT33 all-round wheels

In addition to the brisk aero wheelset, the 33 millimeter variant offers a successful all-rounder, which can also benefit from the new FFWD features, such as LAW technology. With a total weight of 1465 grams and less susceptibility to side winds, the FFWD Fast Forward RYOT33 is a balanced all-rounder for even more driving fun. DT Swiss 240 hubs are also used here and the inner rim width is 21mm for a high degree of compatibility.
