Cyclecross: Wout van Aert is back in cyclocross. After a tough and extremely successful season in road cycling, he is now back in cyclocross. However, the Belgian had to admit defeat to compatriot Eli Iserbyt on his comeback in Kortrijk.
Iserbyt puts van Aert in his place
The much-anticipated comeback from Wout van Aert hasn't disappointed fans. The Belgian, who has won this season among others Milan – Sanremo and Strade Bianche, finished third straight away at the X2O Trofee in Kortrijk. Almost as expected, his compatriot Eli Iserbyt won again. With his victory ahead of Lars van der Haar, the current best crosser extends his lead in the overall standings. However, in the upcoming cyclocross races he has to reckon with tough resistance from Wout van Aert.
