The native of Aargau will contest the E-Mountainbike World Series and the World Championships in Val di Sole for the Thömus RN Swiss Bike Team.
After leaving top-class sport last fall, Kathrin Stirnemann started a new chapter in her life. She followed in her father's footsteps, who in turn was the junior national coach for many years. The 31-year-old also takes on a position as head of the regional base at the Swiss Bike Park Oberried. "I'm looking forward to this position. Courses with athletes and amateur athletes as well as organizing training sessions with the various national teams are among my main tasks," said the native of Aargau in an official statement. Apparently, the fast and successful Swiss woman can't do without active racing either. With great support from Shimano Schweiz, Fuchs Movesa and Thömus, she will take part in the Electric Mountain Bike World Series and the E-Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy, as a brand ambassador. Last year's E-MTB Vice World Champion will also carry out material tests for Shimano and the Swiss bicycle manufacturer Thömus.
