MTB News: Cross-Country (XCO) World Champion and cycling legend Pauline Ferrand-Prévot is now riding for the Absolute Absalon – BMC Team. The 28-year-old Frenchman is looking to continue her impressive sporting career with the move and continue to target gold at the Olympics.
David Zurcher, CEO of BMC Switzerland, is clearly impressed by the new signing: “Pauline is young but already an icon in the sport and I am very proud that she has chosen BMC for the next chapter in her career. In our constant pursuit of excellence, this new step feels very natural for the Absolute Absalon – BMC team and we look forward to watching Pauline ride our bikes at the forefront of the women's field.” Indeed, the Frenchwoman has won almost everything there is to win. Several world championship titles go to her account, and that too in different disciplines. The only title she's missing now is Olympic gold. Manager of the Absolute Absalon – BMC team is Pauline's life partner Julian Absalon, himself a mountain bike legend. The signing of Pauline Ferrand-Prévot is therefore not surprising. The Frenchwoman will start with the BMC models Fourstroke and Twostroke.
