Laser Sphere: New all-round helmet for road bikes and gravel

7 January 2021 by Florian Nowak

Product news: With the new Lazer Sphere, the specialist for sporty protection brings a new all-round helmet, which should complete Lazer's road bike and gravel segment.

After the super light Lazer Genesis was a real success recently, the Belgian helmet brand presents the Lazer Sphere, its newest member in the field of road bike helmets. With its simple design and numerous features, this all-rounder is at home on a variety of terrains and scores well on both road bike and gravel tours.

The entire design is based on the cyclist's natural riding position. Because road cyclists instinctively tilt their head at an angle of about 15 degrees when riding. The ventilation channels of the Sphere are optimized in such a way that the rider's head stays cool longer in this position. On top of that, its unique and simple style should inspire many racing cyclists. Nevertheless, Lazer remains true to its design language and ensures recognition value.

The Lazer Sphere is equipped with the patented Advanced Rollsys adjustment system, which allows both horizontal and vertical adjustment. Since the adjustment system is on the top of the helmet, there is plenty of room on the back for the braid. In addition, four sizes from S to XL ensure the perfect fit for every head size from 52 to 64 centimetres. Add to that the wide range of colors and the option to choose between an option with MIPS or without. So there really should be something for everyone here.

The Sphere also benefits from the first-class Lazer technologies and offers a lot of comfort with the best performance. Of course, the issue of safety is not neglected. Virginia Tech's independent helmet testing center gave this helmet the highest possible score of 5 stars, making it one of the safest road helmets on the market.

The whole package is completed with Lazer's patented Aeroshell, which not only improves aerodynamics, but also offers cyclists great protection in bad weather by keeping wind and rain out.
