Product news: The Bavarian brand Schöffel, known for high-quality outdoor and ski clothing, is launching its first bike collection. The focus here is on the three areas Gravel, Trail and Travel. The products were designed according to the different requirements and should therefore optimally cover all the requirements and peculiarities of the different bike categories.
Founded in 1804, Schöffel is one of the leading manufacturers of outdoor and ski clothing in German-speaking countries. With the new bike collection, the Schwabmünchen-based brand is now expanding its portfolio with a completely new product line. The three bike areas Gravel, Trail and Travel are served here. The special aspects of the individual categories were taken into account during development. These include, among other things, the respective seating positions and movement sequences. The multifunctional models are offered in women's and men's versions.
Gravel outfits
Thanks to the outer fabric made from 100 percent recycled nylon and Pertex Quantum, the light Gaiole bike jacket is said to be breathable, windproof and waterproof, and thus provide reliable protection against cold headwinds. The Vertine shirt, made of quick-drying material, is available to match the jacket. In order to ensure optimal grip even in rough passages, there is a silicone band on the inside of the jersey. The three-part back pocket offers space for a rain jacket, bars or the like. The gravel outfit is rounded off by the narrow-cut Meleto shorts. With its 6-panel construction, the windproof and breathable bike shorts have anatomically designed preforms and should therefore guarantee an optimal fit.

Schöffel mountain bike outfits
Schöffel also has a jacket, shirt and shorts for mountain bikers. The Hybrid Jacket Flow Trail relies on the best weather protection and, like the gravel-specific Gaiole bike jacket, comes with Pertex Quantum technology. The body mapping technology used is intended to ensure that the jacket is perfectly tailored to the special needs of mountain biking. The Repetition shirt with cool Polartec Delta Cooling technology is also very well thought out. Other features are the activity-specific cut and special reinforcements in the back area where the backpack rests. According to the manufacturer, the Baggy Shorts Steep Trail stand for lightness and maximum freedom of movement on narrow trails. The water-repellent shorts made of recycled nylon material and 4-way stretch are rounded off by material reinforcements on the knees and a wide cut on the knees to allow easy wearing of protectors.

Travel bike outfits
With the multifunctional 2,5L jacket Bohusleden, touring riders can face changes in the weather with ease. The 2,5-layer Venturi material with a water column of 20.000 mm is absolutely windproof and waterproof. The inside of the rain jacket is equipped with the special P4DRY print technology, which processes recycled coffee grounds. Moisture can be wicked away from the skin's surface via the print and thus quickly escape. On warm days, the Trans Canada shorts should offer increased comfort thanks to their breathable and quick-drying material. According to the manufacturer, the bike pants are soft on the skin and guarantee rapid moisture transport even during heavy exertion. In addition, Schöffler relies on durability and freedom of movement for the bike-specific trousers.

The skin pants are also part of the Schöffel bike collection. The underpants are made in Italy and have a technically sophisticated, anatomically cut design. The 3D thermoformed seat pad made of air-permeable mesh material is embedded in a multi-layer comfort system and is designed to guarantee optimal pressure distribution and air circulation. With different variants of the underpants, the most diverse needs of bikers are catered for. The skin pants can be combined in any variant with any pant model in the new bike collection.
