Cycling: Tony Martin and Lisa Brennauer were able to assert themselves in Öschelbronn in extremely high temperatures in the time trial and thus secured the German championship jersey.
Martin completes the 10
Despite many strong challengers, Tony Martin once again managed to defend his title at the German Time Trial Championship. The 36-year-old relegated 23-year-old Miguel Heidemann from the Leopard Pro Cycling team to second place by 55 seconds. Surprisingly, he was able to assert himself in front of Max Walscheid and Nils Politt. Tony Martin is celebrating his tenth national title in the individual time trial.
Brennauer regains her title
Lisa Brennauer became German time trial champion for the fourth time in her career. The 33-year-old was 30,5 seconds faster on the 31-kilometer course in Öschelbronn than Lisa Klein, who won the last German championship in 2019. Hannah Ludwig completes the podium.
