Elite Jet Green organic drinking bottle series from CO2-neutral production

Product news: The Italian manufacturer Elite is taking a big step towards more sustainable production with the new Jet Green and Jet Green Plus drinking bottles. The bottle bodies consist of a bottle body made from sugar cane. According to the manufacturer, the aim of producing the bioplastic drinking bottles is carbon-neutral production.

For the production of the bottle bodies of the new Jet Green series, Elite does not use conventional plastic, but sugar cane. The resulting bio-based ethanol is considered an excellent substitute for oil. The aim of manufacturing bioplastic drinking bottles is to achieve carbon-neutral production. This should not only reduce CO2 emissions, but compensate them. According to the manufacturer, in order to produce 1000 drinking bottle bodies from sugar cane, the CO2 emissions were reduced by around 160 kg, which corresponds to around 3 kg of CO2 per kilo of plastic produced. This is also possible because the sugar cane used to make the bottles comes from sustainable crops and not from deforestation. A great advantage is that due to the excellent reproductive ability, the plant grows in abundance even on small plots of land.

Despite the lower environmental impact, the products made from bio-based ethanol should have the same properties as those made from conventional plastic. The bodies of the organic drinking bottles are therefore soft and squeezable as usual. When it comes to the drinking bottle cap, Elite relies on the tried and tested. The same closures with a push-pull valve are used as with the Fly drinking bottles, the Jet Green Plus also has an additional protective cap compared to the standard Jet Green version. The quick-release opening makes it easy to clean the dishwasher-safe drinking bottles. The organic drinking bottles are available in the natural colors green and brown, regardless of the model.
