MERIDA x KED MITRO UE-1: Urban helmet with an innovative design and powerful system components

July 27, 2021 by Andrew Waldera

MERIDA x KED MITRO UE-1

Product news: Merida and KED continue their cooperation this year. After last year's E-MTB/MTB helmet PECTOR ME-1, the urban helmet MITRO UE-1 follows this season as a result of the collaboration. In addition to the innovative design, the high-performance system components are particularly noteworthy, which should guarantee the driver even more safety on the road.

MERIDA x KED MITRO UE-1

With the MITRO UE-1, Merida and KED are already presenting the second product of their collaboration. The Urban helmet impresses with its innovative design and combines two high-performance system components for added safety. The MIPS system integrated in the MITRO UE-1 reduces the rotational forces acting on the brain, while the EPS inner shell ensures maximum impact absorption. Of course, a helmet can only provide optimal protection if it fits perfectly. For this purpose, the designers gave the urban helmet the proven BOA adjustment system. Both systems mesh seamlessly, work in perfect harmony and ensure optimum comfort and protection - according to the manufacturer.

Another feature of the MITRO UE-1 is certainly the magnetic-mechanical Fidlock buckle, which should enable the driver to operate the buckle comfortably, with one hand and safely. Thanks to the extended protection area in the temple and neck area, the helmet even meets the strict NTA8776 standard for speed pedelec helmets. Equipped with a rear light that can be recharged via USB, the helmet is also suitable for everyday trips, such as the way to work. The MERIDA x KED MITRO UE-1 is available in three color options: black/grey, orange/red and white/grey.
