Product news: Attentive cycling fans may have noticed them in the last few days with the current leader of the Tour de France, Tadej Pogacar. We are talking about Scicon's latest sports glasses, which have already caused a stir with a "bio-inspired" design, as the manufacturer himself describes the shape of the glasses, including innovative side slits. The new Scicon AeroWing Lamon glasses are now available in stores for all cycling enthusiasts.
With the new Scicon Aerowing Lamon glasses, Scicon Sports presents new sports performance glasses with an innovative design and an unconventional shape. Together with the most successful professional cyclists, the research and development could also be tested in practice at an early stage and improvements could be made again and again through athlete feedback.
The manufacturer himself describes the new shape as "bio-inspired", which probably means something like inspired by nature. The innovative design is intended to provide better protection and a first-class fit, while at the same time improving aerodynamics thanks to the large-area lenses. The wing-like lens design with slotted rear edges is designed to disperse air so that it is discharged smoothly down the side over the face. In addition to the aerodynamic advantages, this should also ensure that the airflow at the edges of the lens can also bring more fresh air behind the lens and thus prevent fogging.
Manufactured in Italy and with ecological frame material, the new Scicon AeroWing Lamon also ensures a reduced CO2 footprint. Overall, the new AeroWing is available in 5 frame colors with 8 different SCN-PP True Vision lens options and features soft, adjustable rubber nose pads. It costs 180 euros with mirrored lenses, 199 euros with photochromic lenses or 20 euros extra for the matte carbon frame option.
