Product news / E-MTB: The Bulls Sonic EVO AM-I is preparing to continue the success story of the Sonic E-MTBs. It is equipped with the new Bosch Smart System including a large battery and has nice features such as rear lights integrated into the frame.
With the Sonic e-mountain bikes, Bulls caused a bang in the industry in 2019: With bold, sporty and technically extremely innovative bikes, the Cologne-based company catapulted itself to the top of modern e-MTBs. Since then, the Sonic series has been steadily expanded. The Sonic Evo AM is something like the "Ur-Sonic" and will consequently receive its successor in 2022 with the Bosch Smart System. In addition to a large 750 Wh battery, the new drive also comes with a compact LED remote and can be configured with the new Bosch Flow app. Everything you need to know about the new features can be found in our corresponding article.

Bosch Smart System: Large battery, new operating concept and connected biking
Product News / E-Bike: With the Bosch Smart System, the e-bike giant from Reutlingen offers a completely new ecosystem for e-MTBs. With the well-known CX motor, but also a large battery, new operating concept and lots of smart features including its own app. It's that time again: A new drive from Bosch is in the starting blocks! In contrast to […]
High quality frame with integrated rear lights
The silhouette of the bike has hardly changed compared to its predecessor - but that is to be understood as a compliment, because the designers at Bulls have managed to integrate the Powertube 750 battery, which has grown significantly in length, into the down tube of the carbon frame without affecting the entire design to throw on board, as was necessary with so many other manufacturers. The very comfortable 45° removal of the battery to the side has also been retained - nice!
A small but fine innovation is also hidden on the rear triangle: Two rear lights are now integrated in the aluminum seat stays, which are powered by the internal battery. Nice: The lights comply with the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations – if you add a front light and a reflector (also simply by using MonkeyLink), you are also quite legally out and about in the dark.
First Look: Bull's Sonic EVO AM-I
The highlight model of the Sonic EVO AM series is definitely the Sonic EVO AM-I Carbon: With 150 mm of spring travel at the front and rear, a mix of wheel sizes with large 29er tires at the front and very high-end equipment, it should come pretty close to being the perfect off-road all-rounder – especially since with the large battery, extended day trips should no longer be a problem.
As part of the ZEG Bike Show in June, we were able to see a (unfortunately not yet roadworthy) model of the Sonic EVO AM-I. The bike will go on sale at a price of 8.699 euros.
